LDPackaging is committed to responsible business practices by minimizing our environmental impact and actively participating in the creation of a sustainable future for our community.

Energy: Reduce electricity consumption by switching to LED lighting and implementing power-saving practices: turn off the lights and socket while not in use, utilising natural lights, installing power strips.

Waste: Achieve zero waste-to-landfill by maximizing recycling of paper and packaging, and reusing outer packages where possible.

Procurement: Prioritise the use of local and sustainably sourced materials, such as recycled paper, packaging material and work with suppliers who share sustainable values. We use cardboard edge protectors and recycled wrapping paper to product our products.

Transport: Encourage staff to use public transport, cycle, or carpool by offering incentives. Minimize business travel by using virtual meeting technology when possible.

Donations: Minor defected products are given to local schools in Birmingham be used as crafting materials.

Many of our bestsellers are recycled

What UK consumers say

  • A survey found that about 77% of UK consumers prefer a product packaged in “sustainable materials” (such as cardboard/cartonboard) rather than plastic.
  • In another survey, roughly 26% of UK online shoppers said they would stop ordering from a brand if the packaging was over-the-top (over-packaged) and 22% would stop if the packaging was not recyclable or difficult to recycle.
  • Recycling / ease of disposal is a strong factor: for example, 69% of UK consumers said “ease of recycling” was a top consideration when choosing packaging.
  • Preferences for materials: UK consumers show a strong preference for paper/cardboard over plastic: e.g., “4 in 5 say they would prefer to receive a product in paper or cardboard packaging.”
  • But affordability matters: Many UK consumers say they will make the sustainable choice only if it costs no more than the non-sustainable option. For example: “60% of UK consumers … would continue to purchase sustainable goods but only if they cost the same as other products”.
