Why We Separated Branding From the Box Itself
Our rigid boxes — the Lid & Base Stacking range, the Rigid Magnetic boxes, and our A4 and A5 Magnetic boxes — are built to a genuinely high standard. Sturdy greyboard construction, a flawless matt or textured finish, and a substantial, structured feel the moment it's picked up. These aren't boxes designed for a single use.
The trouble is, once a box is printed with a logo, a seasonal design, or campaign artwork, its second life is limited. A customer isn't likely to reuse a heavily branded gift box as a jewellery box, a keepsake box, or general home storage — no matter how nice the construction is underneath. The branding, ironically, is what shortens the box's life.
Our Solution: Keep the Box Blank, Print the Sleeve
Instead of printing directly onto the box itself, our new sleeve service lets you add a custom-printed outer sleeve that slips over the box for presentation and unboxing — while the box underneath stays completely plain.
Here's how it works:
- The sleeve carries your branding. Logo, colours, seasonal artwork, product details, barcodes — everything your customer sees first goes on the sleeve.
- The box stays untouched. No print, no foil, no logo. Just the clean, premium finish of the rigid board itself.
- The sleeve comes off, the box stays useful. Once unboxed, your customer is left with a genuinely reusable, good-looking box — not something covered in branding that only made sense once.
- The sleeve is made from recyclable material. Once it's removed, it can go straight into paper recycling — no mixed materials to separate
